Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Resette and your ritual.

What are ear seeds?

Resette ear seeds are small beads applied to specific points on the outer ear to provide gentle, continuous pressure.

This practice is known as auricular acupressure. The ear contains a dense network of nerve endings, and stimulating particular points has been studied for its potential to support stress regulation, sleep, pain, digestion and other aspects of wellbeing.

Unlike acupuncture, there are no needles. You simply press the seeds throughout the day to stimulate the chosen points.

How do I apply them?

Start with clean, dry ears. Using tweezers, gently place each ear seed onto the recommended acupressure point and press to secure.

Each Resette protocol sachet includes a guide card showing exactly where to place your seeds, so you can follow the points designed for that ritual.

For a more detailed step by step, including placement tips and how to get the most from your ear seeds, visit our full Application Guide.

How long do they last?

Resette ear seeds are designed to stay on for 3-5 days, but our premium quality mean they can last for up to two weeks depending on your skin, lifestyle and aftercare. You can shower and sleep in them as normal.

Remove them sooner if the area becomes sore, irritated or uncomfortable, and give your ears a little break before applying a fresh set.

Are they suitable for everyone?

Cautions and Precautions

• Pregnancy: use with caution; avoid certain points (particularly those traditionally contraindicated in pregnancy)

• Skin sensitivity or allergy: test patch . or check for reactions to the adhesive tape.

• When stimulating the ear seed ensure you are only applying gentle pressure. Pressing harder does not equate to greater results. We do not want to puncture or pierce the skin.

• Ensure you are applying to a clean and dry location. Make sure you hands are clean as well as if you are using tweezers. We recommend clearing the area with an alcohol free wipe and waiting for the area to dry.

• Active skin conditions on or near the ear: do not place seeds on broken, irritated, or infected skin

• Children: ear seeds can be used with children but with particular gentleness; consult a practitioner or reach out to us for guidance. We recommend using less points for children for less stimulation and to only wear for short periods of time (one day).

• Always remove seeds and seek medical advice if you experience unusual pain, swelling, or infection. Ear seeds are generally considered very safe. But responsible use always means seeking medical attention if unusual or unrelated complications arise.
